Haridwar is a sacred territory where pilgrims come from across the world. It is among the most revered pilgrimage centers of India which occupies a prized position in hearts of Hindus. Suryav anshi prince Bhagirath performed penance here to salvage the souls of his ancestors who had perished due to the curse of sage Kapila. The penance was answered and the river Ganga trickled forth forms Lord Shiva’s locks and its bountiful water revived the sixty thousand sons of king Sagara. In the traditional of Bhagirath, devout Hindus stand in the sacred waters here, praying for salvation of their departed elder. It is doorway to the sources of the Ganga and the Yamuna, 3000 to 4500 meters up into the snowy ranges of the central Himalayas. The ‘Aarti’ worship of the Ganga after sunset and the floating ‘dia’ (lamp) is a moving ritual. Temples & Sight Seeing Har-ki-Pauri, Chandi Devi & Mansa Devi Temple, Daksha Mahadev Temple, Bilkeshwar Mahadev, Anandmai Ashram, Pawan Dham, Bhooma Niketan, Vaishno Devi Temple, Doodhadhari Temple & Bharat Mata Mandir. Haridwar is also the place for the world well-known for Kumbh Mela which is celebrated in every 12 years. Kumbh Mela is the major religious gathering in the world which is celebrated for forty days. Yamunotri Dham:As per the mythological tales and beliefs, the Yamunotri Dham was a hermitage of a sage Asti Muni. Throughout his life, the sage daily bathed in both Ganges and Yamuna. However, in his old age he didn’t have the vigor to reach Gangotri, but his good deeds paid off and a stream of Ganges appeared opposite to Yamunotri for him. This legendary tale adds to the spiritual worth of the Dham. Furthermore, the main attraction to this Dham is the Yamunotri Temple Uttarkashi:Uttarkashi is mostly preferred by travellers.The go to destination for types of travellers, be it family, kids and couples, Uttarkashi is, however, mostly preferred by Couple, Family. The best season or months to visit places in Uttarkashi are April, May, June. There are 17 tourist places in Uttarkashi, which can be explored by travellers. Day 1: Reach Haridwar to Har-ki-Pauri for Ganga Aarti in evening.
Day 2: Haridwar to Rishikesh.
Day 3: Haridwar – Barkot
Day 4: Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot
Day 5:Barkot – Uttarkashi
Day 6:Utterkashi – Gangotri – Utterkashi
Day 7:Utterkashi – Haridwar
Day 8:Haridwar to Railway Station drop
Day1: Reach Haridwar at about 16.40 Hrs. & then transfer to Hotel and Visit Harki- Pauri for Ganga Aarti in evening.
Day 2: Haridwar Local sightseeing with Rishikesh.
Day 03: Haridwar – Barkot (Haridwar to Mussoorie 3 hrs./ 85 km) and Mussoorie to Bnarkot 3 h 30 min / 92.0 km via NH507. Early morning drive to Barkot via Dehradun & Mussoorie. Enroute visit Kempty Fall and others later drive straight to Barkot
Day 04: Drive to Hanuman Chatti or Janki chatti (It helps to reduce the trek upto 8 kms), trek start from here to Yamunotri (6kms). Either by walk or by horse or by Doli at own cost. Here near the temple “Pooja” can be offered to Divya Shila, after taking bath in Jamunabai Kund’s warn water and having “Darshan” of pious “Yamunaji” returning to Hanumanchatti. Later drive back to Barkot
Day 05:Morning after breakfast drive to Uttarkashi. Check in Hotel, Later visit Vishwanath Temple. Uttarkashi: Situated at the bank of river Bhagirathi. The temple of Lord Vishwanath is located here where a massive iron trident is erected. The other important temples situated here are Ekadash Rudra, Bhairav, Gyaneshwar and Goddess Kuteti Devi.
Day 06:Utterkashi – Gangotri – Utterkashi ( 100 km / 3 hrs +100 km. ) via NH34 We proceed to Gangotri (3048 mts), enroute enjoy picturesque Harsil village, Bhagirathi River and the most magnificent view of the Himalayas. After Gangotri Darshan we return to Uttarkashi.
Day 07:Utterkashi – Haridwar (189.0 km / 6 Hrs.) via NH34 After early Lunch start for Haridwar , evening return to Haridwar and night train (23.50 Hrs.) for Howrah.
Day 08:Today morning after breakfast Depart for Railway station. Tour End.
