Roopkund Ronti Saddle TrekRonti Saddle  Trek one of the high altitude trek situated an altitude of  5213m(17100 ft) in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand in Garhwal Himalayas.This trail pass through famous locations Ali Bugyal, Bedni Bugyal, Roopkund & Homkund. Every 12 years  Nanda Devi Raj Jat Yatra follow this route till Homkund and thousands of devotee takes part in this yatra and its dedicated goddess Parvati, there are many places which named according to story like Patternachaniya, Bakhuwabasa, Roopkund. Ronti saddle trek is a quite perfect trek having all type of attractions challenges which trekkers want during trek, there are some famous point in this trail like Bedni Bugyal, Ali Bugyal, Kailwa Vinayak, Roopkund, Junargali, Shila Samudra, Homkund and Ronti saddle, all points full of attractions and famous around the world. Trekkers can enjoy beautiful and close view of Mountains like Nanda Ghunti (6,309 m) & Trishul (7,120 m), Lush green Meadows like Bedani and Ali Bugyal, Grazing Animal, Water streams, Waterfalls, High Altitude gain, Snow, Glaciers, Snowfall, Changing weather, Beautiful lakes like Roopkund and Bedni Kund. Ronti Saddle Trek Ronti Saddle TrekRoopkund Lake is Mystery Lake which situated at the height of 4800m in lap of the Himalayan peaks Nanda Ghunti (6310 m) & Trishul (7120 m). This Lake also known as Mystery Lake because of human skeletons lying at the bottom and around  of the lake, which  will be visible when the ice melts. Many myth is there about these skeleton but still its mystery. According to Myth these skeleton of Kings and his army going to yatra of Goddess Parvati but exactly till now no proper identification. These skeleton is larger then average human being so its still mystery,  after 500 meter climb need to cross Junargali Pass(5029) and reach to next camp Shila Samudra, from here need to cross Shila Samudra boulder zone and slight ascend to Chota Homkund. Itineraries

Day 01

Kathgodam/Rishikesh - Lohajung (7,700 ft, 2347 m) 226 km/286 KM

We will receive you from Kathgodam Railway station, Morning depart from Rishikesh/Kathgodam to Lohajung(7700 ft), breakfast & lunch on the way. This day you will see glimpse of Uttarakhand, passes through many hill stations,Villeges, & rivers & winding roads.
Travel distance is 226 km from Kathgodam & Rishikesh (263kms) Haridwar (288kms) which takes 9-10 hours to reach. Night stay in Guest house in Lohajung.

Day 02

Lohajung - Didna Village (8528 ft,2600m)- 12.5 km (4-5 Hours)

Good Morning Himalaya , Morning amazing view of Pinder valley, view of Himalayan range peak Nanda Ghunghuti & villages : Mundoli, Bank, Harani, Didina, Wan. Depart to Didina village Moterable 7 km, Trek start now from Kuling village, a small cultural village with scenic beauty. First 2.5 km decend up to Neel Ganga, after crossing Neel Ganga 3 km ascend, approx 4-5 hours to reach Didina villege. Didina Villege is a part of Kuling villege, villager lives here seasonally .Overnight stay in Home stay or Camp.

Day 03

Didna Village - Ali Bugyal – Bedani Bugyal - (3354m) 6.5 km (3-4 Hours)

Morning brekfast in Didina village, start trek to Bedeni bugyal, 3.5 km ascend to ali bugyal will take 2- hours, passes through thick forest, hear twittering sound of birds, many kind of high altitude Flora & Fauna. Lunch in Ali Bugyal, a vast meadow , Incredible view of Valley. Click memories on your cameras, start trek to Bedeni bugyal slighty ascend but not tough, 1.5 -2 hours will take to reach bedani bugyal, Overnight stay in tents.

Day 04

Bedani Bugyal – Patarnachaaniya - 4.5 km (2 to 3 Hours)

Explore morning view of Bedni Bugyal, around green grass, Bedni kund, View of patti ka danda. According myth Lord Brahma created here Vedas & Lord shiva.
After breakfast depart to patternachaniya,4. 5 km distance takes 2-3 hours to reach. Today all around view is full of charm, Mountain (Nanda Ghunti , Trishul), Water falls, small-small water lakes between meadows. Night halt in camp.

Day 05

Patarnachaaniya – Bhagwabasa (12500 -14500 ft, 4420 mt) 6 km (4 hours)

Today trek start towards bakhuwabasa, 6 km from Patternachaniya (4-5 hours). Patter means Stone & Nauchniya (dancer), believed that dancers converted into stone because of curse of Goddess Nanda.
After breakfast we climb to Kailawa Vinayak top, tough ascend about 3.5 km. from Kalwa Vinayak view is unique Himalayan rage peaks, Rivers, Water falls. After having lunch trek will start to Patternachaniya (2 km).

Day 06

Bhagwabasa - Roopkund Lake(Mystry Lake) (5029) – Shilasamudra - 12 km (5-6 Hours)

Early morning hot tea & start trek to Roopkund, Breakfast on the way because early morning view is clear, later clouds cover the mountains. Trek is quiet difficult today ascend 3.5km upto Roopkund & 400 meter Junargali Dhar(5029 meter). Roopkund is a small lake in glacier, Human skeleton is there many years old, some skeleton flesh can be found which lies under snow. Explore Roopkund & mysterious dispersed Skeleton around the lake, should not wait long here because any time weather condition may change. Trek towards Junargali which is 400 meter away from here. Now descend 7 km up to Shila Samudra. Camp overnight here.

Day 07

Shila Samudra to Do -Dang (9 km) – 4-5 Hours

Good Morning Trishuli, hot tea & Breakfast in lap of Trishul peak, behold view of shila samudra, what a place created by nature. Today we will star trek towards Do Dang via chotta Home kund. On the way we cane see some Animals & rare herb of Himalayas. Homekund is the place where every 12 years Raj Jat yatra take place with four horn Sheep & thousands of devotees. Other side of this place 5 water streams is there called Panch Ganga. Night halt in Do Dang.

Day 08

Do Dang to Ronti Saddle (5213 m/17100 ft) Back to Do Dang (7km) – 4.5 h

Today we are reaching our main point of this trek Ronti saddle (5213 m) distance of 3.5 km takes 2-3 hours to reach. On the way main Homkund is there. Home kund is a small lake but bigger than Roopkund lake. Now ascend 2 km from there. After reaching to the Ronti Saddle point view of peaks is incredible Nanda Ghunti & Trishuli is close now. Day 09

Do Dong to Bhujani Via Chandania Ghat – (16 km) – 6-7 Hours

Today trek is quit descend towards bhujani distance of 15 km(5-6 Hours) from Do dang via Chandaniya ghat. Overnight stay in jungle camp between dense forest of various tree.

Day 10

Bhujani to Tatra Village (15 km) – 5-6 Hours

Morning tea & breakfast in bhujani, depart towards to Tatra campsite in Sutol village distance of 8 km(4- 5 hours), start trek the zig zag & ascend, descend route passes through dense forest, sometime it becomes too slip in rainy season so need to be walk carefully. Have packed lunch on the way, mid way Latakopari, which is a good campsite, sometime here also camping can be done. After taking a short time rest we move forward to Tatra, it is an area of sutol. Tatra is scenic place where Dhyosingh Devata’s ancient temple is there. Discuss about your experience about this trek.

Day 11

Tatra Village to Sutol & drive to Ghat – 2.5 km trek – Motarable to Haridwar/Rishikesh.

Today last day of the trek Wake up Early in the morning, have hot tea move towards sutol village, 2.5 km by trek, Vehicle will be waiting for us in sutol , Depart to Ghat, Karnprayag or Rishikesh.
