About Mt. Bhanoti Expedition

Mt.Bhanoti Expedition is 5646 meter high altitude climbing expedition lie in Kumoun Himalayas Bageswer district, Uttarakhand, India. This expedition follow sunderdhunga valley route till Kathaliya from there one route goes to Kanakata Pass and another one for Bhanoti peak. Region               : Kumoun Himalayas, Uttarakhand, India Altitude             : 5646 Mtrs. Grade                 : Difficult Duration           : Jun to September This route pass through beautiful Himalayan village like Khati, Kharkiya, Jatoli and some villages yet not connected to road, after passing through village there are magnificent view of Himalayan peaks and dense forest, we can see Pindar  river which source is Pindari Glacier later it merge with Alakanada River in Karnaprayag. Mt. Bhanoti Expedition                         Mt. Bhanoti Expediton is suitable for beginner mountaineer with basic mountaineering knowledge. this Expedition takes 15-17 days to complete from Kathgodam Rail head, passes through the scenic villages Khati, Dwali, Kharkiya along side by side of the Pinder River, the roaring sound of the river rejuvenate  us to reach to next campsite. this expedition offers us magnificent view of Garhwal and kumoun range of peaks like Mt. Baljuri(5922Mtr), Panwali Dwar(6663 Mtr), Nandakhat(6670 Mtr.), Traill’s pass(5311),Changuch peak(6582 Mtr.), Nandakot(6861 mtr) etc. Jatoli village is the last remote village of the Expedition.   

How to Reach 

By Train : Kathgodam is the nearest Railhead or one can reach via Haridwar/Rishikesh and from there to Bageswer. By  Air   : Pantnagar is nearest Airport if unavailable then can reach to Dehradun Airport or Delhi Airport from there can travel by bus or private cab.

Arrive Delhi and drive for Kathgodam : 295 Km : 7 Hours

Day 02

Kathgodam to Bageshwar : 185 km: 6 hrs.

Bageshwar to Khati village via Kharkiya : 58 km Drive & 5 Km Trek : 4-5 Hrs

Day 05

Khati village to Jatoli village(2610 mtr.) : 7 km -3 to 4 Hrs.

Day 06

: Jatoli village to Kathaliya camp (3220 mtr) -14 km,6 hr trek
