Lamkhaga Pass Trek is one of the high altitude pass in Himalayas connects chitkul in Kinnaur valley to Harsil in Gangotri Valley Uttarakhand. This pass can start from Chitkul and end in Harsil or Start from Harsil and ends in Chitkul, Pass is an altitude of 5281 meter above sea level which makes this trek challenging and difficult.
There are many treks in valley which connects Uttarakhand and Himachal like Borasu Pass, Rupin Pass, Damdar Kandi Pass, Nalgan Pass and few others treks. Lamkhaga pass crossed by Marco Pallis 1933 during British government in India and since that time trekker follow this route. Harsil is the ending point of Lamkhaga Pass trek if starting from chitkul and Harsil famous for Wilson Cottages which is made by Frederick E. Wilson and he stayed here a long time in this valley, he married to a local girl name Gulabi. Wilson made many bridges in Valley, one of the famous bridges Bhairon Ghati Bridge on the Bhagirathi River but it’s collapsed now.
Harsil is beautiful village in route to Holy Pilgrimage shrine Gangotri and Gomukh (Source of the River Ganga), many pilgrims want to stay here before after the Yatra/Trek.

Day 01: Shimla to Chitkul : 245 km – 9 Hours
Day 02: Chitkul – Nagasthi – Dumti – 6 Hours
Day 03: Dumti – Gundar(4400 m) : 6 Hours Trek
Day 04: Gundar – Lamkhaga Pass B.C. (4800 m) – 7 Hours Trek
Day 05: Lamkhaga Pass Base Camp – B.C. II : 6 Hours Trek
Day 06: Base camp II – Lamkhaga Pass(5281 m) – Base camp III (Gangotri Valley) : 6 Hours Trek
Day 07: Base camp III – Kyorkati(3820 m) : 7 Hours Trek
Day 08 : Kyorkati – Harsil(1150 m) – 14 km – 7 Hours
