Kedarkantha Trek is famous for trek in winter season in the month of December to april. It is moderate grade trek situated in Uttarkashi District of Uttarakhand at altitude of 3850 m. it is in Govind Wild Life Sanctuary , offers to see many remote cultural villages, Flora & Fauna & amazing view of snow covered valley in winter. Trek start from sankri village 1950m which is base for Kedarkantha & Har Ki Dun Trek. Juda Ka Talab is a Beautiful campsite between dense forest of Pine Tree.

Dehradun is nearest railhead/Airport and from here to sankri by drive passes through beautiful hill station mussoorie Barkot, Purola, Mori, Netwar, Motwat along the Tons River.this trek offers a magnificent view of this along with snow covered peaks of Garhwal Himalayas, Juda ka talab is good camping site between dense forest where we can see flora, Fauna and wild animals which is unforgettable experience in life.

Skiing activity can be enjoy during Kedarkantha trek now there is skiing operators also but it will happen only in winter season. During winter season here is good snowfall so one can enjoy with snow sometime it becomes difficult if heavy snowfall in this region because route will not be visible and camping site also will be under snow. Gaiters and crampons recommended for this trek during snow.

Day 01

Dehradun to Sankari (6450 ft.) (210 km – 7- to 8 hours)

Morning 6:30 our vechile will pick up from Dehradun Railway Station & depart to Sankari village, passes through mussoriee (Queen of Hills),Barkot, Netwar, Mori & Tons River. Overnight stay in Sankri.

Day 02

Sankari to Juda ka Talab (9000 ft.) (4 km – 4 hours)

Morning warm up exercise & Breakfast at Sankari village , now trek starts to Juda ka Talab, campsite between dense forest of Pine Tree. Overnight stay in camp.

Day 03

Juda Ka Talab to Kedarkantha Base(11250 ft.) (4 km – 3-4 hours)

Magnificent view of Himalayan peaks, peaks look like golden colour when Sun rays hits snow covered peak. Morning breakfast in peaceful environment , now trek start to Kedarkantha base passes through dense forest of Pine & Oak, & various flora and fauna. Overnight stay in camp in Kedarkatha base.

Day 04

 Kedarkantha Base (11,250 ft) to Kedarkantha Peak(12500ft) to Hargoan (9000 ft)

Enjoy morning view of Nature in lap of Kedarkatha valley, Sunrise view golden peaks , cold air. Hot breakfast in morning & start trek to Kedarkantha top where Lord Shiva temple with idol of Shiva ,Ganesha & parvati, Post lunch depart for Hargaon. Night halt in Hargaon.

Day 05

Hargoan (9000 ft) to Sankri (6450 ft) (6-7 Hours)

Last day of trek, breakfast in Hargaon, trek start towards sankri. On the way view of various kind of flora, forest of pine, meadows which will be a memorable journey of your life. Overnight stay in Sankri.

Day 06

6th Day : Sankri to Dehradun (210 km – 8 to 9 hours)

Depart to Dehradun today , full day journey, Lunch & Breakfast on the way.
