Adi Kailash and Om Parvat Trek/Yatra is popular destination among trekkers and devotee situated in vyas valley of Pithoragarh district in Uttarakhand and border of Nepal, Tibbet. This yatra takes 10 days from Dharchula and 12 days from Kathgodam and many other destination can be explore during this yatra like Kainchi Dham, Patal Bhubaneswar, Golu Temple, Jageswer Group of Temples.Chota Kailash om Parvat Pilgrimage Trek in Uttarakhand

Adi Kailash and Om Parvat Trek/Yatra is famous for its divine Environment, Nature beauty, Flora Fauna, Cultural and Traditional villages, Kali River and its tributary water streams, Mountain view of om Parvat, Adikailsh, Pandav paravt, Kunti Parvat, Panchachuli Group of peaks.

Till Gunji, the path of Kailash Mansarovar pilgrims and Adi Kailash pilgrims remains the same. From Gunji, a route leads to Nabi, Kuti, Jolingkag, etc. to Kailash. And the second route goes through Kala Pani (origin of Kali river) and Nabhidhang (397 m) towards Lipulekh Pass. From where the Kailash Mansarovar pilgrims enter Tibet. On this route, 4 mountains can be seen from Nabhidhang. There are proper arrangements for food and lodging in every village of the yatra halt.

Om Parvat

Om Parvat is miracle of nature, here is natural shape of snow (Aum) in Om Parvat, also written as Aum Om is part of the iconography found in ancient and medieval era manuscripts, temples, monasteries and spiritual retreats in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. We have to reach Nabhidhang to see Om Parvat.

It is described in detail in many Puranas about the Om Parvat. There is a pilgrimage site on almost every mountain here. There is a legend associated with each of the roads, forests and peaks here. Why is Nabhidhang named Nabhidhang? The answer is also natural as soon as you reach here.

Adi Kailash

Adi Kailash is one of the five Kailash, it is a replica of Mount Kailash, Adi kailsh known as chota kailash.In this journey of Adi Kailash, and many famous peaks of Himalayas are seen. Such as 6 Mountains, Pandava Mountains, Brahm Mountains etc.

Adi Kailash Yatra, Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, Panchachuli Base Track (Darma Valley) and Narayan Ashram (Chaudas Valley) are welcome and greetings to all of you at the base camp Dharchula. The reflection of Adi Kailash Parvat in Gaurikund is amazing experience for devotees.

How to Reach

By Train : Kathgodam/Haldwani nearest railway station.

By Bus : Kathgodam/Dharchulla/Haldwaani can be reached by bus, you can get direct bus for Kathgodam/Haldwani from Delhi.

By Air : Pantnagar is nearest Airport but few flights only, Delhi/Dehradun is better option and from there hire bus/taxi getting here.

  1. PCC: Police Clearance Certificate (from your local police station, not involved in any wrong activity)
  2. Medical Certificate: Valid only by Dharchula Hospital
  3. Photo Identification Cards like: Voter Card, Aadhar Card, Passport
  4. Latest passport size photos as required
  5. Affidavit (self-responsible for any type of incident on the route of travel)

Suggestion

Trekkers must keep 2-3 days reserve for this yatra because due to bad weather sometime we have to see Om Parvat and Adi Kailash.

Itineraries

Day 01

Kathgodam to Dharchulla(915m) : 325 km : 10-12 Hours

Early Morning around 5AM need to move from Kathgodam because its long journey today, pass through beautiful hill stations of Kumaoun Region. Evening we will reach Dharchulla & will finish registration process & Documentation and make ready backpack with required things. Night halt in Dharchulla.

Day 02

Dharchulla – Nayjang –Lamari – Budhi (2710m) :50 km drive & 18 km Trek.

Morning we will start our journey, first 50 km drive and then 18 km trek to Budhi. Today we will see magnificent water falls, water streams & glimpse of Cultural and Traditional villages. Today night halt will be in Budhi(2710M).

Day 03

Budhi – Chiyalekh – Garbyang – Gunji(3220m) : 18km Trek.

Gunji is Junction for Adi Kailash(Chota Kailash) & Om Parvat, Kailash Mansarovar. Early morning we will start trek to Gungi via Chhiyalekh, Garbayang. Today night Halt in Gunji.

Day 04

Gunji to Kalapani –Nabhidhang(4260m) – Om Parvat :18 Km Trek

From Gunji, a route leads to Nabi, Kuti, Jolingkag, etc. to Kailash. And the second route goes through Kala Pani (origin of Kali river) and Nabhidhang (399 meters) towards Lipulekh Pass. from where the Kailash Mansarovar pilgrims enters in Tibet. We will cover Om Parvat first if weather is clear and proceed to Nabhidhang from where we can see the divine Om Parvat.

Day 05

Nabhidhang – Kalapani - Gunji(3220m) :18 Km Trek

Early Morning during Sunrise the magnificent view of Om Parvat is Indescribable, Sunrise to redness, birds chirping, divine atmosphere, uninterrupted flowing black river, blue sky, waterfalls flowing in their tune, pilgrimage in the journey, devotees chanting Namah Shivaya, reaching Nabidhang while enjoying these panoramic views. After breakfast we will trek back to Guni for Adikailash Yatra. Night halt will be again in Gunji.

Day 06

Gunji – Nabhi –Nappa –Kutti(3600m) :19 km Trek

Today we will trek further to Kutti which is situated at an elevation 3600m, After trekking 2 km will reach to nabhi village, we will break here for breakfast. Kutti village we can see glimpse of culture and Tradition. We will continue our trek to Lampak 8 km where will be lunch break. After lunch we will continue 9 km trek to Kutti. Night Halt will be in Kutti.

Day 07

Kutti - Jolingkong(4572) – Adi kailash/Parvati Lake :16 km trek

Morning will start our journey to Jolikong from there 2 km distance for Parvati Lake and Adi Kailash Parvat. In joliokong Devotee visit Lord Shiva after visit of Adi Kailash mount, one can take bath in Holi Parvati Lake before proceeding Adi Kailash. In this journey of Adi Kailash & Om Paravt, many famous peaks of Himalayas are seen. Such as 6 Mountains, Pandava Mountains, Brahm Mountains, Parvati Mukut etc. Today night halt in Jolingkong.

Day 08

Jolingkong - Kutti(3600m) :14 km Trek

If last day Adi Kailash not visible because of cloudy weather then devotee visits Adikailash today. After breakfast trek back to Kutti for night stay.

Day 09

Kutti to Gunji – 18 km

Today trek to Gunji, en route panoramic view and flora fauna which makes this journey memorable. Evening we will reach Gunji. Night Halt in Gunji.

Day 10

Gunji – Garbiyang - Chiyalekh – Budhi(2710m) : 18 km Trek

Trek to Budhi via Garbiyang via Garbiyang, Chiyalekh and night halt will be in Budhi.

Day 11

Budhi –Lamari –Dharchula : 50 km Drive : 18 km Trek

Today last day of Adi kailash and Om Parvat Trek, approx. 18 km of trek and from there by taxi to Dharchulla by taxi.

Day 12

Darchalla to Kathgodam : 325 km : 10-12 Hours

Its final day of this Trek/Yatra, Early morning will depart for Kathgodam, en route beautiful hill stations, Village, River, Agriculture fields of Kumoun region.

All meals During Trek  Darchulla to Dharchulla .

Transport Kathgodam to Kathgodam – Bolero/Max Sumo/Tempo

Guide /Leader during Trek
