Ali Bedani bugyal trek starts from base camp Lohajung, Mundoli village in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand & it is one of the large meadow of Uttarakhand. This trek offer magnificent view of Nature, lush green meadows, grazing animals on it, surrounding view with waterfalls, snow capped peaks, small small villages, shepered huts etc. Bedni Bugyal is a Himalayan Alpine meadow, situated at an elevation of 3,354 metres (11,004 ft) in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand state of India.

Bedni Bugyal falls on the way to Roopkund near Wan village. Trishul and Nanda Ghunti are clearly visible from here. This lush green meadow is adorned with blooms in a wide range of varieties. There is a small lake named Vaitarani (Bedni Kund), situated amidst the meadow.Bedani Bugyal is campsite for Roopkund trek & also every year Nanda Devi Jat in the month of Sep & Oct.

Difficulty Level

Ali Bedani bugyal trek could be the most sublime and incredible journey for the trekkers amongst all the treks in Uttarakhand, but again the difficulty is still there as the pathway will be little ticklish for the beginners to walk, and high altitude of 14,600 Ft. climb can make it an arduous trek for the trekkers.

Is it suitable for children's?

Yes, the trek is favorable for children's who are up to 15 years old as the difficulty level is moderater but should be experienced of any treking before.

Is it a good option for the first time trekkers /or families?

This Himalayan trek is graded as easy to moderate, so can be a choice for a family but depends on the fitness level and himalayan trekking expereience.

Season

Best time for winter trek is between December to march, april to november for normal trek is best and can avoid mansoon season because of road problem.; the trek to this admirable destination can be planned between these months as the goal glows the most.

The landscape is beyond imagination; the gigantic mountains wrapped with snow looks mesmerizing.

There is a vast difference in the mountain temperature, and when it's about the trek to Brahmatal Trek as it is the higher altitude trek, so it might be possible that one can encounter a little difficulty during acclimatization.

Therefore it is essential to bring all warm clothes, and that may not even affect the backpack too much.

How to reach ?

Kathgodam Railway staion & Rishikesh Railway station is the best option to reach by train, well connected with some major cities of India.

you can reach by bus to Kathgodam/Rishikesh and from there can go by sharing Locat Taxi to Lohajung-Mundoli base camp.

Day 01:Kathgodam/Rishikesh - Lohajung (7,700 ft.) – 226 kms/263 kms.(9-10 Hours)

Arrive Rishikesh/Kathgodam, after breakfast drive to Lohajung via Deoprayag, Karnaprayag, Rudraprayag, Srinagar etc. Today we will pass through many towns &villegas of Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. On the way we will see Ganga river, Bhagirathi River, Alaknanda River, Pinder River. Road will be along with river upto lohajung. Today we will stay in Lohajung in Guest House/Hotels.

Day 02 :Lohajung to Didina Village :- 6-7 km trek– 5-6 Hours

After breakfast, drive towards Kuling village from there downhill trek till Neelganga river approx 2.5 km & again ascend trek to Didina Village aprrox 4.5 km. Today stay will be Homestay/Camping.

Day 03 : Didina Village to Ali Forest Camp – 6-7 km trek – 5-6 Hours

Today is third day of Ali Bedani Bugyal trek, altitude will change slighty from here. after beakfast will start trek ali forest camp which ascent totally, passes through dense forest of devdar, rozodendron,oak etc. evening we will setup camp in Ali forest. we will see panaromic view of this valley. night halt will be in tents.

Day 04: Ali Bugyal –Bedani Bugyal – Exploration & down to Garoli Patal – 8-9 Km Trek

Morning after breakfast packed your camp and trek start for ali Bugyal.we will see Himalayan peaks like Trishul, Nanda ghunti etc and will pass through the ali bugyal meadows surrouned by pet animals & goats.aftercrossing ali bugyal we will reach to another meadow called bedani bugyal where we will see a lake called bedani kund,every year during Nada Devi yatra happens here.After exploring Bedani bugyal we will trek down to Garoli Patal for Night Halt beccause camping is not allowed in Meadows.

Day 05 : Garoli Patal to wan village – 12 km trek & 20 km drive to Lohajung : 7-8 Hours

Today Trek decent till Neelganga 5-6 km and 2-3 km ascend till Rankadhar from there again decend towards wan village, you can visit here locat deity Latu Devata ancient Temple surrounded by long & big devdar trees. vechile will be waiting for your and drive for Lohajung via kuling village.

Day 06 :Lohajung to Rishikesh via Karnaprayag, Rudraprayag, Devprayag : 8- 9 Hours

Pafter breakfast drive to Lohajung via Deoprayag, Karnaprayag, Rudraprayag, Srinagar etc. Today we will pass through many towns &villegas of Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. On the way we will see Ganga river, Bhagirathi River, Alaknanda River, Pinder River. Road will be along with river upto lohajung.
