Skiing
Skiing is a recreational activity and competitive winter sport in which the participant uses skis to glide on snow.Skiing in India is an activity that mostly takes place in the northern states of India, where the Himalayas are situated. The Himalayas provide an excellent skiing experience owing to their great height which makes for long descents.
Skiing at Auli
Alpine Skiing is one adventure sport that has gained immense popularity all over the world. Auli is one of the best skiing slopes in India. Auli is nestled in the lap of snow-capped peaks of Garhwal Himalayas, in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, near the world famous religious shrine of Badrinath. At an altitude of 2500m to 3200m above sea level, Auli’s well-dressed slopes of flanked by coniferous and oak forests, which offer a panoramic views of mountains. If you are out of adventure, fun and frolic this winter, find yourself in Auli, in the vicinity of the mountain peaks Nanda devi (7817m), Mana parvat (7273m).

Short Itinerary:

Day 1: Haridwar to Joshimath(Auli) by Road (285km/10hrs)
Day 2: Skiing Introduction& Balancing on skis
Day 3: Snow plough position & falling technique
Day 4: Snow plough position going down and turns
Day 5: Learn at advance slope
Day 6: Auli to Haridwar (285km/10hrs)

Detailed Itinerary:

Day1: On this day, we pick you up early in the morning at Haridwar Railway station/Bus stand; from where we drive to Joshimath from Haridwar via Rishikesh and Devprayag. Devprayag is a well-known, holy city which is the confluence of the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers, after this the rivers become the holy Ganga. We Arrive at Auli by the evening and check into the hotel. Dinner & overnight stay is provided.
Day 2: After an early breakfast, we will introduce you to our skiing instructors and skiing equipment. In the learning process you get to learn the basics of skiing, the instructor ensuresthat all the necessary actions regarding the safety and precautions of the guest are taken.
On this day, you will learn Walking &balancing on skis. Side stepon snow with skis is a totally different experience.As the saying goes, you fall multiple times while learning skiing just like learning to balacne or ride a bicycle, but the one who stands once again after every fall and fights, wins ultimately.
Day 03: After breakfast, we proceed with our skiing course. On this day you will learn snow plough position and falling techniques including crash landing at slopes. Together we explore the surroundings in the evening. And then at the end of the day, we enjoy or dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 04: On this day you will learn snow plough position going down and turns, on a gentle slope. Perfect your snow plough turns& breaking. Usually taught to beginner, the snow plough turns is a breaking and turning skiing technique. In the evening we will go to one small snow trek. And then at the end of the day, we enjoy or dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5: On this day of skiing course, you will be taken to an advanced slope, which will be much longer then than the previous ones that will give you distance and time to gain a lot of speed while sliding on it. After completion, you will be honoured with a certificate of appreciation.
Day 6: On this day, in early morning we drive back to Haridwar. We will be arriving Haridwar by evening. The course ends with a mosaic of colorful memories which would definitely be unforgettable in a highly positive manner.

Cost: INR 13,500 + 3.5% Service tax

(2) Stay at hotel (1 room 2 person)
(3) 1 round ticket of chair car per person per day of course

Cancellation Policy:

Up to 30 Days :- 90% of Trek/adventure program cost will be refund.
Between 21 – 30 Days: – 60% of Trek/Adventure/Tour/Travel/Hotel program cost will be refund.
Between 20 – 11 Days: – 30% of Trek/Adventure/Tour/Travel/Hotel program cost will be refunded.
